An EcoVadis assessment quickly reaches beyond the person coordinating it. Answers may depend on HR, procurement, operations, health and safety, finance and senior management, while the supporting evidence sits across different folders, systems and teams.
Assessment Support is for the point where the questionnaire has just opened, or you are still early enough in the assessment to make deliberate decisions about how the work should be organised.

Detailed review of up to 15 priority evidence items, selected according to their importance, uncertainty or potential assessment risk.
Ongoing Decision Support
Email support during the engagement for questions that arise as the questionnaire, evidence and stakeholder responses develop. The target response time is within two working days.
Final Readiness Review
A final review of the assessment position, remaining actions, important gaps and the work that can reasonably be carried into the period after submission.
How the Eight Weeks Work
Four Working Stages
Orient and Map the Assessment
We review the questionnaire, assessment context, what evidence you already have and the internal owners. The first working session establishes what is happening and where the main uncertainties sit.
Set Priorities and Internal Actions
I prepare the Priority Plan and Stakeholder Action List. In the second working session, we review the order of work and the specific requests that need to go to internal colleagues.
Gather, Review and Adjust
Your team gathers information and evidence. I review the agreed priority items, answer questions as they arise and use the midpoint session to update the Assessment Map and priorities where needed.
Review the Position Before Submission
The final stage looks at the remaining gaps, evidence decisions and outstanding actions. The fourth working session is used to review readiness and agree what still needs to happen before submission.
Who Does What
The Assessment Stays With Your Company
I work alongside the internal coordinator. Your team remains responsible for the company information, internal decisions and the underlying sustainability work.

Scope and Boundaries
The engagement includes detailed review of up to 15 priority evidence items. I help determine which evidence deserves detailed attention. The standard service does not include a detailed review of every document your company holds.
Drafting or implementing the underlying sustainability management system is outside the standard service. If the assessment identifies work that needs to be created or implemented, that remains with your team unless separately agreed.
The eight-week service period begins on the agreed start date. Delays in providing information or completing internal actions do not automatically extend the engagement.
EcoVadis makes the assessment and scoring decisions. No score, medal or other assessment outcome can be guaranteed.
What if This Is a Reassessment?
Assessment Support can also be used when a new reassessment questionnaire has opened and there is still substantial work to organise.
In that case, the previous scorecard, Improvement Areas, current questionnaire, available Industry Risk Profile, previous evidence and changes since the last assessment become part of the context for the work.
The service reviews the current submission strategy and the historical evidence that is relevant to current priorities. It does not include a detailed review of the company’s entire historical EcoVadis document library.
If your reassessment is already substantially complete, the EcoVadis Submission Readiness Review is likely to be the better fit.

After the Scorecard Is Published
30-Minute Results Debrief Included
When the scorecard resulting from the supported submission is published, we have a 30-minute follow-up to review the headline result and any immediate surprises.
The debrief closes the loop on the assessment we worked through together. A detailed investigation of the scorecard, evidence and improvement priorities is covered separately by the EcoVadis Scorecard Review.

I first worked with EcoVadis from inside a company, where I helped coordinate successive assessments across different functions. Over time, my former company progressed from Silver to Gold to Platinum.

When is the best time to start EcoVadis Assessment Support?
The service is designed for the beginning or early part of an active assessment, when the questionnaire has just opened or substantial work still needs to be organised.
Starting early gives the company more time to set priorities, involve the right colleagues and gather useful evidence.
If the questionnaire and intended evidence are already substantially complete, the Submission Readiness Review may be the better fit.
Is EcoVadis Assessment Support only for first assessments?
No. The service is primarily designed around the needs of first-time assessment coordinators, but it can also be used for an early-stage reassessment.
Previous scorecards, Improvement Areas and relevant historical evidence then become part of the assessment context.
How many documents will you review?
The service includes detailed review of up to 15 priority evidence items.
These are selected according to their importance, uncertainty or potential assessment risk. The service does not include a detailed review of every document held by the company.
Will you write or implement policies and other sustainability documents for us?
Drafting and implementing the underlying sustainability management system is outside the standard Assessment Support service.
The engagement can identify where policies, actions, KPIs or other management practices need work, but the company remains responsible for creating and implementing them unless separate work is agreed.
What happens if our internal work is delayed?
The eight-week engagement begins on the agreed start date. Timely access to the questionnaire, evidence and internal stakeholders is important.
Delays in providing information or completing internal actions do not automatically extend the service period, although any necessary change can be discussed separately.
How much does EcoVadis Assessment Support cost?
EcoVadis Assessment Support costs €6,500 excluding VAT.
The fee is split into two payments: 50% at the start of the engagement and 50% in Week 5.
Can you guarantee an EcoVadis score or medal?
No. EcoVadis makes the assessment, evidence evaluation and scoring decisions.
Assessment Support can help the company organise the work, review evidence and address avoidable gaps, but no score, medal or other assessment outcome can be guaranteed.
What happens after our EcoVadis scorecard is published?
When the scorecard resulting from the supported submission is published, the service includes a 30-minute Results Debrief to review the headline result and any immediate surprises.
