You can see the overall score, theme scores, strengths and Improvement Areas. What is harder to see is why the result took the shape it did, whether a weaker area reflects the evidence you submitted or the underlying management practice, and which improvements deserve attention first.
That becomes especially important when the result was lower than expected, one theme is much weaker than the others, the score fell compared with a previous assessment, or management wants a clear explanation of what happened and what the company should do next.

I investigate the most important findings and work out what type of issue they appear to reflect, as far as the available information allows.
Underlying Policy or Process Gap
The finding appears to reflect a genuine weakness in the underlying policy, process, responsibility, implementation or monitoring.
Coverage / Maturity Gap
Something exists, but it may not yet be broad, systematic or mature enough across the relevant organisation.
Question to Clarify
A specific factual or methodology issue may need clarification through the appropriate EcoVadis channel.
Longer-Term Improvement
Meaningful improvement is worthwhile, but building the practice and the supporting evidence will require time.

I use the scorecard, relevant assessment information and selected evidence to investigate the findings that matter most. You do not need to send every sustainability document your company owns.
Scorecard Pattern Analysis
I review the overall score, theme results, strengths, Improvement Areas, relevant 360 Watch information and previous scorecard changes where applicable to identify the patterns that deserve closer attention.
Relevant Assessment Context
I use relevant questionnaire information, assessment scope, evidence lists and company context to understand what was submitted and what needs further investigation.
Priority Evidence Review
I review up to 10 priority evidence items to test the most likely explanations for the scorecard result, including scope, recency, coverage, implementation and whether the evidence demonstrates what was claimed.
Scorecard Diagnostic Map
The map connects important findings to the available evidence, the likely underlying issue, its importance, when it should be addressed and its priority.
Improvement Roadmap
Put the Improvement Work in a Sensible Order
The roadmap groups the work by when it makes sense to address it, so every Improvement Area does not become an equally urgent project.

Scorecard Review Brief
The final brief explains the main scorecard findings, what the available evidence suggests sits behind them, which issues relate mainly to evidence and which require changes to the underlying practices, and what I recommend addressing before reassessment. It also includes a concise summary you can use with management.

You provide the current scorecard and relevant assessment context. I confirm the materials needed to investigate the main questions raised by the result.
Scorecard Pattern Analysis
I analyse the scorecard pattern, compare themes and findings, and identify the questions that deserve deeper investigation.
Review Priority Evidence and Map the Findings
I review the relevant questionnaire information and up to 10 priority evidence items to distinguish likely evidence weaknesses from gaps in the underlying policy, process or practice, and identify any questions that may need clarification.
Roadmap, Brief and 90-Minute Review
I prepare the priorities and Scorecard Review Brief. In the live session, we work through the findings, challenge assumptions and turn them into clear company decisions.
Five Working Days to Ask Questions
For five working days after the review, you can ask questions about the findings and roadmap. This period is for understanding the review rather than reviewing unlimited newly created policies, measures or evidence.

Scope and Boundaries
The review investigates the findings that matter most rather than reviewing the entire sustainability management system or every document submitted.
Detailed evidence review is limited to up to 10 priority evidence items selected according to the scorecard pattern and the questions being investigated.
The available materials do not provide access to EcoVadis’ confidential evaluator reasoning. I distinguish between what the scorecard explicitly states, what the available evidence strongly supports and what remains my best-supported interpretation.
Implementing improvements to the underlying policies, processes and practices, writing missing policies, building programmes and completing the next reassessment sit outside the standard review.
The Scorecard Review is not an appeal service and does not represent the company in a formal EcoVadis inquiry.

When is the best time to have an EcoVadis Scorecard Review?
The review is most useful soon after the scorecard is published, while the assessment is still fresh, or sufficiently before the next reassessment that your company has time to implement meaningful improvements.

What information do you need for an EcoVadis Scorecard Review?
The core material is your current EcoVadis scorecard.
Depending on the questions raised by the result, I may also request a previous scorecard, questionnaire or export, Industry Risk Profile, evidence list, selected submitted documents, assessed entity information and relevant company context.
You do not need to send every sustainability document your company owns.

I select these based on the scorecard pattern and the questions raised by the result. The purpose is to test the most likely explanations behind the result rather than review the entire sustainability management system.

How long does the EcoVadis Scorecard Review take?
The core review is completed over approximately 10 working days from receipt of the complete review materials.
The Scorecard Review Brief and 90-minute live session are followed by five working days in which you can ask questions about the findings and roadmap.
How is a Scorecard Review different from asking EcoVadis about the result?

No. The Scorecard Review explains the findings and prioritises the work.
Your company remains responsible for implementing improvements, updating policies, measures and KPIs, assigning internal owners and preparing the eventual reassessment.

The EcoVadis Scorecard Review costs €3,250 excluding VAT.
Payment is normally due on acceptance or commencement, subject to reasonable company procurement requirements.
Can you tell us exactly why EcoVadis gave us each score?
The review cannot reconstruct EcoVadis’ confidential evaluator reasoning or explain every score point with certainty.
I distinguish between what EcoVadis explicitly states, what the supporting materials strongly suggest and what remains an informed hypothesis.

Can the Scorecard Review guarantee a better result next time?
No. The review identifies priorities and provides a structured basis for improvement, but EcoVadis remains responsible for future assessment and scoring decisions.
